My work in social services began in Seattle in 1992, with children in a hospital setting and with adults with disabilities in a creative arts program. Prior to that time I worked as a freelance graphic artist in New York City.
In 1997 I received a Master’s Degree in Psychology
and Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University
in Seattle. Since then I have worked in private
practice and at several local community mental health
agencies, with clients of all ages, diverse cultural
and ethnic backgrounds, religions and sexual orientations.
My work as a clinician has included psychotherapy
and counseling, as well as crisis case management,
in-patient care, and supervision of other clinicians.
Each year I attend several trainings on various topics in psychology and mental health issues, techniques of treatment, clinical supervision and professional ethics. I consult on a regular basis with other therapists.
I am a member of American
Mental Health Counselors Association, Washington
Mental Health Counselors Association, Seattle
Counselors Association, Women’s
Counseling Network, and Child Therapy Asssociation.
